Free Press Summer Festival preview: Robert Ellis

June 4th, 2015 · No Comments

Former Houstonian Robert Ellis deserves the praise and attention he’s been getting. His New West Records releases are both excellent (as is his previous work), and he continues to progress as an artist and gain new fans with each new show (while retaining a sense of humor). Ellis returns to Houston to play Free Press Summer Festival this weekend (June 6-7, 2015) at NRG Park.

Here are some videos to get you ready for his sets:

You can catch two sets from Robert Ellis at this year’s Free Press Summer Festival: he plays in the Fancy Pants tent on Saturday (6.6.15) at 3:10pm, and again on Sunday (6.7.15) at 6pm on the Venus stage.

More information on Robert Ellis may be found at his website or on Facebook. You can listen to his music on Rdio.

Also, check out this article on Rolling Stone. The magazine deemed Ellis’ The Lights From The Chemical Plant #19 on its “40 Best Country Albums of 2014” list.
