Austin band The Eastern Sea–a band I have enjoyed since the first time I caught them live a few years ago–returns to Houston to play two shows today (Friday, 7.6.12): one at 5:30pm at Cactus Music (which is free), and another tonight at Mango’s in Montrose at 9pm.

Tickets to the Mango’s show are $5, but you can get a free ticket if you purchase a copy of the band’s new album, Plague (which is excellent, by the way–I am especially into “Santa Rosa” at the moment), at the Cactus show today.
