David Rice plays Mucky Duck on October 16th

October 5th, 2007 · 1 Comment

Singer/songwriter David Rice returns to Houston on October 16th to play a special show at the Mucky Duck to commemorate the release of his new album, Eighty Miles to Stand Up.

Rice honed his live skills at now-defunct Houston clubs during the the early 90’s. After releasing two albums on Justice Records (remember those Hellhole and Twisted Willie compilations?), he moved to L.A. and signed with Columbia Records. His self-produced 1998 release, Greenelectric, won him fans and respect in the music industry. He now lives in Austin and continues to produce and write music.

wow…I was listening to David years ago (I have Greenelectric) — he’s amazing. Thanks for posting this, I would have never known he was around again.
