This Friday (7.27.07), jazz combo extraordinaire Drop Trio play their first-ever gig at the historic Fitzgerald’s. The band opens for O2’L (the duo of Jane Mangini, keyboardist with the Trans Siberian Orchestra, and Al Pitrelli, former Megadeth guitarist).

Friday night’s show is all ages, starts at 8pm, and cover is $10.

Then, on Sunday night, Drop Trio plays as part of the Houston Press Music Awards showcase. Their set is at 8pm at Red Cat Jazz Cafe (did I ever mention how I hate this place and how people were treated during the Press‘ festivities last year?).
