Band of Horses is one of the many stripped-down, countrified rock bands out today, but the band is near the top of the pack and an excellent additional to this year’s Free Press Summer Fest line-up. The group’s early releases are undoubtedly its best, however 2014’s live release, Acoustic At The Ryman, shows not only the depth of the band’s songwriting but also how well its songs work in both the rock and acoustic environments.

The band’s set at Free Press Summer Festival 2015, which runs June 6-7 at NRG Park, is sure to draw a large crowd.
