Austin’s Ume–a band which got its start in Houston–is having a heck of a run, with frontwoman Lauren Larson recently performing with Heart’s Nancy Wilson in San Francisco last month and the band set to play London’s Hyde Park in July with Black Sabbath, Soundgarden, and Motorhead at British Summer Time, and sold out shows in New York City. Before that, however, Ume returns to Houston for a show at Fitzgerald’s this Friday night (6.6.14), and also plays a free set at Cactus Music on Friday at 5:30pm.

Should be some killer shows.
