Since 1986, the Texas Crawfish & Music Festival has been keeping crawfish and music fans in the Houston area fat and happy. The festival–held in Spring–has grown over the years, and kicks off two weekends of food and music tomorrow (Friday, 4.25.14). This year, the event runs 4.25-4.27 and 5.2-5.4.
For my money, it looks like next weekend is the best for music–The Suffers, The Tontons, Ben Kweller, Matt Ellis, and Heartless Bastards all perform on Saturday, 5.2.14–but other days of the festival also host a slew of musicians, including Folk Family Revival, Los Lonely Boys, Nick Greer and the G’s, Alejandro Escovedo, and the Charlie Daniels Band.
More information about the festival may be found on Rocks Off.
Here are some videos from some of the bands playing this year’s Texas Crawfish Music Festival:
Tickets to Friday’s kickoff are $10, and $13 online/$15 at the gate for the rest of the festival.
