Free Press Summer Fest preview: Ceeplus Bad Knives

June 1st, 2012 · No Comments

Houston DJ Ceeplus Bad Knives, self-proclaimed “DJ, Promoter, Party Thrower, Music Producer, Pioneer of Cool,” once again plays during this year’s Free Press Summer Fest, which starts tomorrow (Saturday, 6.2.12) and runs through Sunday (6.3.12) in Eleanor Tinsley Park near downtown Houston.

If you’ve never heard Ceeplus spin, I highly suggest getting to Summer Fest early enough to catch his set. He seems to thrive in this environment, and it’s always a great time.

Ceeplus Bad Knives plays a set to kick off Summer Fest tomorrow (Saturday, 6.2.12) from 11:30am-12:50pm. He says he expects his set “to be a synth-driven mix of Rare Disco, Industrial, Kraut Rock, Post Punk Funk, and new like-minded sounds.” Can’t wait!

Also, be sure to check Ceeplus’ upcoming original-produced singles and EP as Tempel of Knives [Soundcloud | Bandcamp]. He plans to release a new mix on 7.13.12, and also plays/hosts with Nancy Whang  (LCD Soundsystem) at Boondocks on 6.15.12 at 10pm.
