A while back, a friend whose opinion I greatly respect recently recommended I check out the band Yuck. Ever since, I have been seeing the band’s name mentioned in all sorts of music press. While I am still digesting the band’s album, there’s no doubt the attention is warranted. You can stream the album at the band’s website and judge for yourself.
Yuck plays an official showcase at South By Southwest 2011. See the band at Club de Ville at 1am on Thursday, 3.17.11, and at Kiss & Fly on Friday, 3.18.11 at 11pm.

This is an AMAZING CD, total throwback to 1994. One of my biggest regrets about missing SXSW especially considering there are no Ohio dates on the tour they are doing with Tame Impala.
