Hayes Carll hits the big time + free show at Cactus this Saturday

March 1st, 2011 · No Comments

Former Houstonian (and Crystal Beach lover) Hayes Carll recently released his new album, KMAG YOYO, on Lost Highway Records. He performed the title track on The Tonight Show recently, and took crooner John Evans (sporting a Honky Tonk Blood T-shirt, no less) along for the ride. Check out the video below.

Carll brings his “Club Tour of Texas” to Houston tonight (Tuesday, 3.1.11) for a sold-out show at the Mucky Duck, plays another sold-out show at Old Quarter Acoustic Cafe in Galveston tomorrow (Wednesday, 3.2.11), plays on Friday (3.4.11) at Dosey Doe in The Woodlands, and plays a free in-store set at Cactus Music this Saturday (3.5.11) at 4:30pm before playing an 8pm show at Firehouse Saloon. KMAG YOYO and Carll are also reviewed and featured in the latest issue of SPIN magazine as one of the “Next Big Things” of 2011. Talk about some good promo…

You can buy the album at pretty much any record store or at his website. Read a great recent article on Hayes Carll by Andrew Dansby at 29-95.com.
