The line-up for 2011 Free Press Summer Fest–which will be held at Houston’s Eleanor Tinsley Park on the edge of downtown on June 4-5–was announced last night at Fitzgerald’s. Among the huge line-up are the usual suspects of local and regional acts (Buxton, Fresh Millions, Grandfather Child, Indian Jewelry, B L A C K I E, Eastern Sea, Co-Pilot, The Watermarks, Arthur Yoria, Black Congress, The Hates, to name just a few), along with a fairly impressive–where’s the Grammy-winning Arcade Fire, huh?–smattering of national acts. Weezer, Ween, Yeasayer, Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings, The Black Angels, MF Doom are among those slated to perform.
