November 6th, 2010 · No Comments

The Mathletes play a free in-store show today at Cactus Music  at 3pm, which should be a good one to catch. Also at Cactus, The Trishas play at 1pm. Tonight, the excellent Polvo–which recently released an album on Merge Records–plays at Fitz’s with Muhammad Ali and Rivers. Also at Fitz’s, Best Coast and Sonny and the Sunsets  play tonight. Get your tickets from Pegstar.

Also tonight, Fondue Monks and Big Sam’s Funky Nation play Dan Electro’s Guitar Bar in the Heights. Brit rock-influenced garage band Inner Lights, which should have an excellent new album out in early 2011, plays with Thunderbolt Suit at Rudyard’s.

On Sunday night (11.7.10), local indie popsters Wild Moccasins, which has one of the best albums of 2010 (Skin Collision Past), plays with The Apples in Stereo and Fol Chen at Walter’s On Washington. Also on Sunday, is the latest installment of the Binarium Sound Series at The Mekong Underground in Midtown, which features The Lepers of Melancholy, Chris Becker, Lynn Wright, and Paul Watson. The show runs from 8-10pm.
