UK rockers The Futureheads returns to Houston for a free show at Cactus Music at 5:30pm today (Wednesday, 10.13.10) and then also plays a show tonight at Fitzgerald’s with The Soft Pack, Born Ruffians, and Meligrove Band.
Also at Fitz’s tonight, local band dUNETX plays with Electric 6 and The Constellations. dUNETX plays at 9:30pm, and doors open at 8pm.
I saw The Futureheads a few years ago during the band’s first U.S. tour and was an instant fan. Here’s a video of the band’s recent single, “Struck Dumb”:

The band’s acoustic set at Cactus Music put a huge smile on my face. Excellent “hits” set and all around nice guys.
