The Cult returns to Houston, releases new EP

September 29th, 2010 · No Comments

British rock band The Cult was a favorite of mine in the mid- to late-80s. I still keep up the band, more out of curiosity than anything, but the band’s harder-edged music doesn’t really do it for me. However, the band has a ton of rabid fans that will undoubtedly turn up at Houston’s House of Blues this Friday (10.1.10) for the band’s latest stop on its U.S. tour, promoting its new EP, Capsule One.

The Cult (Ian Astbury, Billy Duffy)

Capsule One–which includes two new tracks, two live tracks, and a film–is available via its website. Here’s the track listing:

Every Man and Woman Is A Star
Siberia
Rain (live from Love Live)
Brother Wolf, Sister Moon (live from Love Live)
A Prelude To Ruins (short film)

Tickets to Friday night’s concert are available at www.livenation.com and are under $40 (including “convenience” fees).
