Mark C. Austin: Three Songs, No Flash photo exhibit opens tomorrow

Local photographer/music fan Mark C. Austin debuts his permanent music photo exhibit tomorrow night (Wednesday, 9.29.10) at Warehouse Live‘s Green Room. Be sure to come out and show your support–Mark has done a lot for Houston bands and is a tireless promoter of local music.

The show starts at 7pm and runs until 11pm. Houston musician Benjamin Wesley will perform around 9pm, and snacks will be provided.

Over the last 6 years, Mark has traveled the US photographing live music performances for the likes of SPIN, Paste, Village Voice Media, The Houston Chronicle, Houston Press and many other publications. His images have also appeared in Rolling Stone, People, DRUM, US Weekly and The Guardian (UK). His photos can also been seen in permanent exhibits throughtout the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas.

There will also be a raffle for tickets to see local musician Robert Ellis play a solo show at the Mucky Duck on October 9th, as well as some matted and framed prints. All proceeds will go to support Noah’s Kitchen.
