The new, improved Fitzgerald’s opens tonight

Historic local music venue Fitzgerald’s reopens tonight (Thursday, 9.23.10), under the coordination of Free Press Houston editor Omar Afra and Pegstar‘s Jagi Katial (who also brought you Free Press Summerfest). Tonight’s show is free for 21+ (with RSVP) and $5 otherwise, and features the current line-up of The Drums, along with Young Friends, Black Congress, Weird Party, Legsweeper, and Cosmic Sound.

Friday’s show features Golden Axe, The Roller, Two Star Symphony, Venomous Maximus, The Energy, Omatai, Free Radicals, and DJ Meshak. On Saturday night, Aesop Rock plays with B L A C K I E, Roky Moon and BOLT, and Brandon West and the Black Hats.

Sunday night, Buxton kicks off its tour and plays with Cotton Jones, Pepper Rabbit, and Monahans.

    Free Radicals is not actually on this show. We are, however, playing Sunday at Notsuoh 8:30 – 10 on a free show for savektru.org
