This Saturday (8.21.10), Fitzgerald’s hosts The Progressive Collective Showcase, which features some of the state’s finest progressive rock bands. 2010 Houston Press Music Award winner Lotus Effect, Cavernous, After Time Has Passed, Hydra Melody (San Antonio), and Cirrus Minor are on the bill.

Doors open at 8pm and the $10 cover charge includes a free copy of The Progressive Collective Compilation CD Volume 1 (while supplies last). Presale tickets, which may be purchased from Lotus Effect’s MySpace page, are $8.
