Here’s some of what’s going on around Houston this week.

On Tuesday (12.15.09), Paleo, Elaine Greer, Robert Ellis, and Sergio Trevino play at The Mink.

Wednesday (12.16.09) is “Local Licks” at Warehouse Live. This week features Ashbury Keys, Jeff Canada, and Danny Lopez.

On Thursday (12.17.09), 29-95.com Presents features Springfield Riots and Beetle at The Continental Club. Also, The Reverend Horton Heat plays Houston’s House of Blues.

Also on Thursday, I Am Mesmer plays at Mango’s with Givers and Treeson.

On Friday (12.18.09), Hearts of Animals, The Wiggins, and Rapeworm play a free show at Sound Exchange. Also, Cactus Music hosts The Umbrella Man for a free show (5:30pm).

Also on Friday, Warehouse Live hosts Red Bull 45’s, which features DJs Cut Chemist, Ceeplus Bad Knives, DJ Sun, The ARE, DJ John Doe, and Brett Koshkin. This should be an interesting show.

Also on Friday, The Watermarks play at The Mink with The Live Lights and Caterpillars. And, Super Happy Fun Land hosts The Canvas Presents, which features Chase Hamblin, The Paperwaits, Nosaprise, Room 101, The Factory Party, Barefoot The Indian, The Cadences, Deux Frupis, Oncoming Traffic, The Coalition Band, and Dairy Party.

Saturday (12.19.09) is The Jonbenet’s final show at Walter’s. O Pioneers!!! is also on the bill. Also, duneTX plays at The Big Top.
