Crossing Togo CD release at Mucky Duck, Great Day Houston appearance

Crossing Togo, a new-ish Houston band, celebrates the release of its debut album, Love, Scorn & Insecurity, with a show next Thursday (11.19.09) at the Mucky Duck.

The show starts at 7:30pm and tickets are $15, which includes a copy of the CD.

Maserati drummer Jerry Fuchs R.I.P.

Jerry Fuchs, the amazing powerhouse drummer for Maserati, one of my favorite instrumental rock bands, died over the weekend after an accident during a party in Brooklyn.

Russian Circles, Red Sparowes, and more at Rudz this Friday night

Two great instrumental rock bands–Russian Circles and Red Sparowes–play in Houston at Rudyard’s tomorrow night (Friday, 11.6.09) with the metal-tinged Young Widows and Coliseum.
Both Russian Circles and Red Sparowes are bands I have listened to for a few years now. I highly suggest checking them out, and can only assume they will be amazing live.
