Former Cross Movement member Enock memorial today

October 25th, 2009 · No Comments

Memorial services will be held today (Sunday, 10.25.09) for Christian rap pioneer Enock, who passed away in Houston last Saturday.

Here’s more info from Sketch The Journalist (pictured with Enock above):

I got to know ‘Nock decently when he was here. Dude was only 35 and died of a heart attack at his job. Leaves behind a wife…and a 4-year old in addition to three children in Philadelphia.

After leaving…CM…he relocated to Houston around 2001 and lived with Tre9 and his wife for about a year and half. Still a believer, he eventually recorded an album with Much Luvv (AWEthentic) that was pretty raw about his struggles and the issues of hypocrisy he perceived to be in the church and Christian hip hop industry. He briefly tells his life story in the song “Still Here” you can hear streaming on the DaSouth.com page announcing his passing.

The memorial service is from 6-9pm today at the Lindale Assembly of God (503 Reid St, 77022).
