On Saturday (8.15.09), there’s a lot happening for local bands:

The Mathletes celebrate the release of its new CD with a show at Mango’s with Young Mammals and Ghost Mountain.

Guitars plays an in-store at Cactus Music at 3:30pm. This is free, as always.

listenlisten, which received a little plug in Rolling Stone recently, kicks off its tour at the IndieHouston House (1816 Calumet). Giant Princess, Buxton, and Robert Ellis also perform.

Hell City Kings play a record release at Rudyard’s with World’s Most Dangerous Band and Skeleton Dick. You can order the band’s album, Road To Damnation, on vinyl at www.interpunk.com.
