Houston Calling

Summer Fest

August 8th, 2009 · 5 Comments

Dear Free Press, why did I buy pre-sale tickets to only come and stand in line for hours in Will Call while people who are paying cash at gate are already in the fest?

Piss poor planning. Just saying…

Veronica’s Dad: Will someone tell me why [i sent to Summer Fest]?
Veronica Sawyer: Because you’re an idiot.
Veronica’s Dad: Oh yeah, that’s it.

I basically wasted my fancy pants pass, didn’t feel like waiting in line, and they let me in at the gate with my printed receipt. Sucks, but I didn’t have to wait…

Fancy Pants worth it, if only for the air conditioning…

like you mentioned it in your newer post, it was worth it. I probably wouldn’t have needed the fancy pants pass because I was catching music the entire time. It was great to see all of the people that were out there braving the heat.

for some reason, it didn’t feel right seeing Broken Social Scene keep their set to only an hour!

Great festI I would definitely do it again!

True, and it felt like The Octopus Project only played four songs… Oh well, still a great time.
