Houston musician Lee Alexander has reportedly more or less recovered from the injury which has sidelined his work on his follow-up to Out Of Place. According to Alexander, the album (now a year behind schedule) is near completion. He plans to release the new album and play a CD release show in August (details to come).

For now, Alexander plans a warm-up gig this Friday night (7.10.09) at Rudyards. Glenna Bell and Permanent Daylight are also on the bill. This is the the first show Alexander and the band have played together in nearly a year, so make plans to check it out.

Showtime is 9pm. Cover is $8 at the door.
