Sleepercar open for Coldplay at Toyota Center; interview with Jim Ward

El Paso band Sleepercar, a side project for Sparta frontman Jim Ward, released their debut–West Texas–earlier this year. It’s a great album, one of my favorites this year. Johnny Falstaff in-store at Cactus today

Local musician Johnny Falstaff celebrates the release of his new album, Honky Tonkin’ Daddy, with an in-store performance at Cactus Music at 4pm today (Saturday, 11.15.08).
In December, Falstaff heads to Europe for shows in Germany and Switzerland. Must be rough.

DJ Melodic benefit

Local musicians play Stranger’s Almanac tribute

Local underground hop hop artist on MTV reality show

Local rapper Cornbreadd, who is a member of the infamous local rap-rock group Tha Fucking Transmissions (with experimental musician Ben Wesley, of Basses Loaded) is on MTV’s 50 Cent: Tha Money & Tha Power, which began airing earlier this month.
