El Paso band Sleepercar, a side project for Sparta frontman Jim Ward, released their debut–West Texas–earlier this year. It’s a great album, one of my favorites this year. Johnny Falstaff in-store at Cactus today

Local musician Johnny Falstaff celebrates the release of his new album, Honky Tonkin’ Daddy, with an in-store performance at Cactus Music at 4pm today (Saturday, 11.15.08).
In December, Falstaff heads to Europe for shows in Germany and Switzerland. Must be rough.
