Here’s a few of the shows happening around town this week:

Tonight (Tuesday, 9.2.08), GZA and H.I.S.D. play at Warehouse Live. On Wednesday (9.3.08), The Monocles play with Love or Perish and The Caprolites at Dean’s Credit Clothing. Also on Wednesday, The Wiggins play with TENSE, The Factroty Party, and A Thousand Cranes at The Mink’s Backroom.

On Thursday (9.4.08), Peekaboo Theory and Hueman Group play at Dean’s. Also, The Donkeys and listenlisten play Rudyard’s. On Friday (9.5.08), Little Brother Project celebrates its CD release with a show at Warehouse Live alongside Skyblue 72 and Bayou Monster.

Also on Friday, Band of Heathens play The Continental Club. Bruce Robison celebeates his CD release with an in-store at Cactus Music at 6pm and a show at the Mucky Duck. Jack Ingram plays with Shooter Jennings at the Showgrounds (Sam Houston Race Park).

On Saturday (9.6.08), Cactus Music hosts Mia Kat Empire Day, which features The Mayapples, The Goods, Convair, Gretchen Schmaltz, Hollywood Black, Wood & Felt, and Buxton. The sets run from 1-5PM.

Also on Saturday is the Indiehouston.org benefit, which features Paris Falls, The McKenzies, Giant Princess, and Harlem. The fun gets started at the recently relcoated Late Nite Pie (302 Tuam).

Saturday also brings The Orange Show Foam Raiser, which features the Sideshow Tramps, The Grass Skirts, and more (also, free St. Arnold’s with cover). Also, Kate Voegele and Matt White play Warehouse Live. Dremt the End and My Own I play Fitzgerald’s. Seth Walker plays at The Continental Club, Lazlo plays Rudyards, and Arthur Yoria plays Walter’s.
