Paparazzi at the Houston Press Music Awards showcases

July 28th, 2008 · 3 Comments

Yesterday’s Houston Press Music Awards showcases were probably the best I’ve seen. From 4 to 10pm, downtown was transformed into a hotbed of musical activity and I watched excellent sets by Hell City Kings, Pale, Fondue Monks, Arthur Yoria, and Bring Back The Guns–you can read my reviews of these shows (and see photos) at the Houston Press‘ Rocks Off blog.

Here are some of the photos I took throughout the day:

We saw a lot of the same bands! I didn’t even get over to the HRC or Rocbar side of downtown. Dune.tx gets my vote for best show of the day.

The rock doesn’t stop tonight! Can you believe Paris Falls, The Gold Sounds, and Heist at Hand are all playing on a Monday? Thank God for Summer Vacations!

I swear to God, I saw so many damn cameras last night, you’d have thought Madonna was roaming around beating up Guy Ritchie… ;^)

Awesome pics. Between you & Ramon, I’m feeling decidedly photoloser-like. (And heck, I haven’t even seen Rosa’s yet.)

I didn’t get to make it out that night but my hubby (James Moody) did. I love love love photographing Pale and Southern Backtones….even though they’re good friends of ours..I still geek out watching them. Wished I could have made it out…still kicking myself I couldn’t. Pics are great! Loved looking through them!
