The Wild Moccasins kill as B-52s at Hootenanny Two

Last night’s Hootenanny Two: Tootenanny was another success for The Skyline Network. While packed to capacity pretty much from the start and so hot it actually felt cooler outside (in Houston, in July!), performances by The Wild Moccasins (as B-52s) and Paris Falls (as Rush) gave brief moments where it didn’t matter. Both of these bands killed, as far as I’m concerned, and other bands–Flowers to Hide’s B-side laden set from The Cure, American Sharks’ dead-on interpretation of The Cars, Tody Castillo & Friends as Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers (with a Traveling Wilburys cover thrown in), and Buxton’s naturally unique take on Bjork–were great to see as well.

Here’s looking forward to Triotenanny (or whatever it’ll be called). Well done.
