Local musician Tody Castillo, whose 2005 self-titled album still haunts my iPod on a regular basis, is featured in the February issue of Modern Luxury’s Houston magazine (in an article by yours truly, by the way). He’s reportedly putting the final touches on the songs for his new record, which hopefully will be out soon.

Here’s what he put in a post on MySpace on Friday:

…We are now officially done tracking for the record. We start mixing the record on February 13, 2008. We’ve decided on 11 tracks with a possible bonus disc of b-sides. Stay tuned for upcoming shows and for a sneak preview of what’s about to be unleashed on the good people of rock-n-roll. Also, I just inked a deal with Go Digital Records who will be releasing (online) my self-titled debut CD and will included an exclusive bonus track… Cheers, Tody

April 25th is booked at Rudz — could that be the CD release party? More info as I know it.
