Your New Year’s Eve in Houston rock

December 31st, 2007 · 1 Comment

For your New Year’s Eve concert-going pleasure:

Golden Axe, The Squishees, and Kvalla tear up Rudyard’s. The American Sharks, Cop Warmth, The Wiggins, and O Pioneers!!! ring in the new year at Boondocks.

Tonight is also the 5th Annual “New Year’s Noise” at Super Happy Fun Land, which features Black Mayonnaise, Black Magic Marker, The Annoysters, Muzak John, Kairos, Chiasma, Douglas Ferguson, Bully Pulpit, Concrete Violin, Wall With One Side, Y2kazoo, amputee, and more.

Dean’s (downtown on Main St.) also has a NYE show, which features Skyblue72, D.R.U.M., and Toby Champagne. Also, Pegstar presents Ladyheat, Ninevolt, The Tontons, and Alarma at Notsuoh.

T.H.E. Fly & Rooster, Lower Life Form, Spinnin’ Kitties, Witnes, and Remix play The Proletariat. Us & Them (local Pink Floyd cover band extraordinaire) play their yearly gig at Fitzgerald’s. For those of you headed to the beach for the evening, Fondue Monks play The Balinese Room in Galveston.

Other shows tonight include:

Another Day, w/ Evans Blue, Subversa, and Glass Intrepid at The Meridian. This will rock. Another Day is a good band and I look forward to hearing what they do in ’08.

Jimmy Lafave @ McGonigel’s Mucky Duck
Allen Oldies Band & The El Orbits @ The Continental Club (no cover)
The Hunger @ The Scout Bar
Eddie Money and Eclipse @ Moody Gardens (Galveston)

Be safe. Happy New Year!
