On Saturday (11.24.07), Nino Batista will be at Super Happy Fun Land doing a performance from his VYA project, which is “an exploration of sound and melody and harmony, as well as an experiment in sonic textures and complex musical patterns.” He’ll be using a PowerBook, a custom-tuned electric guitar, a varied assortment of effects pedals and a live sampler to create a good amount of improv into an otherwise tailored set of down-tempo electronica grooves and ambient soundscapes.
There’s a film before the set by Freneticore of Houston. Earlier in the day is the benefit show previously posted about.
