If you’ve been foolish enough to avoid the hilarious and irresistible performances of Gil Mantera and Ultimate Donny, aka Gil Mantera’s Party Dream, you’ll have another chance on Friday, December 14th, at The Proletariat. The band’s new DVD, Live Video Archive Vol. 1, is now available and chronicles their onstage spectacle.

…these guys put on the best live show I have ever seen…the party dream jams out 80’s style in excellent spandex costumes and masks. The band basically gets plastered, get naked, writhe around, dance, hump each other, and fall over, and it all sounds amazing. Sure, it’s crude and maybe ridiculous, but they have a great time, and it’s infectious. The crowd loves it, and I couldn’t stop dancing or laughing throughout the whole set. The music is great, the album is no doubt excellent, but whatever you do, do NOT miss the live show…
