Houston Calling

The week in Houston rock

October 10th, 2007 · No Comments

Tonight (Wednesday, 10.10.07), singer/songwriter Derek James opens for Matt White at Jet Lounge (next to Engine Room). Locals Prodigal Sons and Lanky are also on the bill. I have James’ latest release, Stray, which reminds me of John Mayer a bit. Lanky & Prodigal Sons are always good. No clue about Matt White.
Also, Something Fierce play at The Proletariat with Brimstone Howl, The Monocles, and !Alarma!

On Friday and Saturday, catch The Axiom’s 20th Anniversary Reunion show at Fitz’s. Also on Saturday is the Free Press’ Block Party on Westheimer. Just go to #s and you’ll run into it.

Friday is also Papermoons tour kickoff show at The Proletariat with Buxton and Buckley. Saturday night is also The Black Math Experiment’s CD release show with Screaming Red and MK Ultra at Rudyard’s.
