The Percussion Center presents Texas BigBeat, a non-profit event/fundraiser that plans to get 550+ drummers to play simultaneously to help break last year’s world record (set in Seattle). The group has teamed up with Cherish Our Children International, whose goal is “to raise funds to provide underprivileged, special needs and at-risk Houston children with educational programs that give them a chance to create a positive and productive future for themselves.”

Prizes include a Yamaha drumset, Mapex drumset, Zildjian cymbals, Sabian cymbals, and Paiste cymbals that will be awarded to the top fundraisers in a drawing.
