A UK band I came across earlier this year, 65daysofstatic, plays tonight (Thursday, 7.26.07) at The Meridian. The instrumental experimental band opens for Fear Before The March of Flames, along with the impressive This Will Destroy You and YouInSeries.

This will be an excellent show, perfect for fans of harder, experimental and instrumental rock. I can’t recommend 65daysofstatic’s The Destruction of Small Ideas enough. One of my favorites this year so far…

You’ll also get a chance to see 65daysofstatic at the Toyota Center here in October. They’re opening for The Cure on their fall tour.

Doors open at 6pm for the show tonight at The Meridian. All ages are welcome, and tickets are $12 at the door. The Meridian is located across 59 from the George R. Brown at 1503 Chartres St., just off the feeder road.
