Was The Police’s reunion show worth $101 per ticket (after fees)? Most definitely not — not many concerts are. But we had good seats for being upper deck, and a VERY good view of drummer Stewart Copeland, thanks to a sparsely decorated set. That in itself was worth half that, I guess.

It was an excellent show, don’t get me wrong. The band was tight and the crowd was very hyped up.

The following is their setlist as close to what I recall. Some of the tracks I could have done without (which was also when most people went to get refills), but overall the band played everything you’d want to hear and more. And thankfully, no “Demolition Man.”

Copeland is by far the most technically proficient drummer I have EVER seen live. Plus, I was impressed and surprised that the band seemed to be having fun and actually smiling. Although Sting’s crowd-raising “Houston’s louder than Dallas” chants wore thin quickly. Everyone knows he’s a total arse and couldn’t care less. I guess I was the only one to notice…
