Phuz returns this weekend, show w/ Tody Castillo

May 21st, 2007 · 2 Comments

Local group Phuz plays their first show in what seems like forever this Saturday night (5.26.07) downtown at Notsuoh — and showcases the return of Dea.

Local musician Tody Castillo, who reportedly is about to enter the studio to record material for his new album, is also on the bill. This show is hosted by Josh Zulu and Seth Jones. Showtime is 9pm.

Phuz’s new album, Forgiveness — their first since 2001 — will be available at the show.

Julin’s album, Transitions, is available and you can find out more information at her website. Rumor has it that Phuz’s Ken Sarmiento spent two and a half years producing Transitions, so be sure to check Julin out.

Yeah, it’s starting to feel like Old Home Week — a few bands I’d thought were long dead-and-gone (or at least moved away, in the case of Indian Jewelry) seem to be popping back up, including these folks. Glad to see they’re back around…

I agree with the first post, it’s glad to see these guys again. If you look at all the bands and artists from this city, these guys stand out. Great thing is that the members from phuz always are down to earth.
