A lot of good stuff around town this week.

Tonight (Tuesday, 5.15.07), Chicago’s Pit er Pat plays with locals Balaclavas at DiverseWorks. Also, punk legend Jello Biafra does his spoken word thing at The Continental Club. And, Hollywood Black plays at SHFL.

The Rapture and Shiny Toy Guns play Wednesday night at Warehouse Live. This will be packed, so get tickets early.

On Thursday, don’t miss Flowers To Hide open for Beach House and The Clientele at Walter’s. This will be a good show.

On Friday, The Contingency plays with Lick Lick and Fired For Walking at Rudyard’s. Also on Friday is the Houston Press Music Awards Nomination show, which features Ghostland Observatory.

Saturday at Rudyards is Arthur Yoria’s CD release show, which features Yoria, Southern Backtones (rumor has it that it’ll be a Hank Schyma solo gig), and Spain Colored Orange. Also on Saturday (9pm show) is Ms. Rosa’s B-Day Bash, which features The Dimes, Dead Roses, The Sporatics, and PLF at The Southmore House.

Saturday is also the Honky Tonk and Hot Rod Music Festival at The Continental Club, which features Jesse Dayton, Hayes Carll, The Weary Boys, Texas Sapphires, and more.
