Tonight is your chance to see a ton of Houston’s most popular independent/underground bands at Noise and Smoke 2007, which begins at 5pm today at Notsuoh. The bill tonight includes Ume, The Ka-Nives, Satin Hooks, Bring Back The Guns, Finally Punk, Jana Hunter, Eat Grapes, and Cop Warmth. Notusoh is located downtown at 314 Main St. (between Preston and Congress).

Noise and Smoke 2007 continues on Saturday night at The Axiom, and features Indian Jewelry, Something Fierce, Skullening, The Wiggins, Blades, and The Sporatics. The Axiom is located at 2524 McKinney.

Hope to see you there.

I checked out a few of the bands at N&S last night. Not a bad time or crowd, but there was no air conditioning in Notsuoh (at least not that I could feel), which made it sweltering and miserable. I ended up bailing because of it. I hope tonight at The Axiom is much better.
