Houston Calling

The week in Houston rock

January 30th, 2007 · 2 Comments

As previously mentioned, Pale frontman Calvin Stanley was to play a solo show tonight at the Mojo Risin’ Coffeehouse. I have been informed the show has been canceled.

On Wednesday, John from Blades is playing a solo show as Trainwreck Albania at The Proletariat with Jenny Westbury, Listen Listen, and The Dodos. Also, The Ragged Hearts and Prodigal Sons play The Continental Club.

On Thursday, The Jack plays Jet Lounge. David Garza plays The Big Top. Both should be great shows.

Friday is Bob’s 50th Birthday Bash at The Meridian. The show featuring Poor Dumb Bastards, Flametrick Subs, Ghoultown, DJ Sean Carnahan, DJ Big E, Housecat Cabaret Girls, & Godfrey’s Rangers. Should be a great time.

Also on Friday night, Southern Backtones, Dynah, and Prodigal Sons play Rudyard’s.

Saturday night is Orents Stirner’s CD release show at Rudyard’s, with Sarah Pierce. Come show your support for great local music.
