Mia Kat Empire = new local record label

November 28th, 2006 · No Comments

There’s a new indie label in town that I think you should check out. So far, they’ve signed several bands/artists to their roster, many of which can be found on the free (plus $4 S&H, that is) Mia Kat Empire compilation CD (available for order at the label website). What a bargain!

Founded by Reggie O’Farrell, Mathew and Amanda Ellis, and Jason Harris, Mia Kat Empire features The Western Civilization, The Nautical Mile, Rhinestone Fargus, Buxton, Gretchen Schmaltz, The Ride Home, Glacier Pace, The Mayapples, and Hollywood Black, whose 2000 Years of Progress will be the label’s first release in January 2007. Preorder it here.

You can stream songs by the band’s on Mia Kat Empire’s roster at their website: www.miakatempire.com

Be sure to check it out and support local music.
