Broken Social Scene tonight at Warehouse Live

October 27th, 2006 · No Comments

Tonight’s a great night for shows around town. Canada’s Broken Social Scene play with Do Make Say Think at Warehouse Live. Had I not seen them live at SXSW a couple of years ago, I’d probably go see Pete Yorn at The Meridian, but BSS put on an amazing live show so I don’t want to miss it. Do Make Say Think is another one of those instrumental drone rockers that I love so much. Sure, it’s sort-of boring but it relaxes me and I enjoy seeing people swaying to the melodic music. Should be a good show.

Bradley’s Almanac has a bootleg show of Broken Social’s Scene first show of this tour earlier this month in MA.

Other shows in Houston tonight include:

Los Skarnales/The Medicine Show @ The Continental Club
Hoods/Will to Live/Pride Kills/Los de Verdad/Dissent @ Walter’s on Washington
Metal Benefit Show, featuring Linus Pauling Quartet, Bowel, Whorehound, & Slag @ Fitzdown
Peter Frampton/Johnny A. @ Verizon Wireless Theater
Dan Colehour @ McGonigel’s Mucky Duck
Spyder Baby @ The Engine Room
D.E.M.O./Slivered/Alkari/The Soarce @ Rudyard’s
Skyblue 72 @ Sansone’s
The Truth/Rainchild @ Fitzgerald’s
Hanzel und Gretyl/Bella Morte @ The Jet Lounge (1515 Pease)
Henry Johnson @ 57 West Jazz Cafe
Fourth Friday Divas’ Art Closing Show, featuring Transmography & DJ Taffee @ Super Happy Fun Land

Don’t forget that Minus the Bear plays at Warehouse on Monday, 10.30.06, with P.O.S., The Velvet Teen, and Russian Circles. This should be a good one as well.
