Houston Calling

Hip hop in the park this Sunday

October 13th, 2006 · No Comments

This Sunday (10.15.06), KPFT is hosting a special free hip hop show at Miller Outdoor Theater.

Here’s what HoustonSoReal‘s Matt Sonzala says about the event:

Damage Control, The Groove and SOS Radio are presenting some of the newest, freshest hip hop talent Texas has to offer. MOJOE is headining. They are from San Antonio and have a full band. Some really great stuff. I put my full-on stamp of endorsement on them. They are signed to Music World, which is Beyonce’s father’s company, so you probably won’t be seeing them for free for too much longer now.

Other performers include:

HrHezeleo (UGK Records — from Port Arthur) & the Go-Gettaz (Beaumont) | Surreal | Young Samm | Short Texas | Kenika | Lil Boom | No Saprise | Sydnee

The show runs from 4-7pm this Sunday afternoon.
