September 29th, 2006 · No Comments

Local funk-rock heroes (and 2006 Houston Press music award winners) Fondue Monks will perform at Dan Electro’s in the Heights a couple of times this Saturday (9.30.06). During the afternoon, bassist Rozz Zamarano and guitarist Steve Olson will host their weekly Jazz Jam (usually on Sundays at 6pm) for KPFT’s Joe’s Garage radio show. They will play a set from 2:30pm-3:30pm that will be broadcast on the radio.

Afterwards, former Sunset Heights Blues Band’s Vince Converse will play for an hour. He will also open the Monks’ set Saturday night from 9:30-10:30pm. Fondue Monks will play from 10:45pm-2am.

Dan Electro’s Guitar Bar is located in the Heights at 1031 E. 24th St. More information on Fondue Monks can be found here. You can order Rozz Zamarano’s new solo bass CD from the Zam Records website.

You can also listen to KPFT online.
