Houston Calling

Art Brut, We Are Scientists tonight at Warehouse Live

September 24th, 2006 · No Comments

I don’t know about you, but I have been listening to Art Brut’s Bang Bang Rock & Roll a lot lately. Maybe it’s the ridiculous accent or tongue-in-cheek lyrics, but I find it entertaining and amusing. The music’s got that choppy, guitar-driven eighties feel that always works with me. I’d probably find it tough calling it one of the best albums of the year, but I know I have listened to it quite a lot this year so far.

“Rusted Guns of Milan” is classic — pretty humorous lyrics, and I enjoy “Good Weekend” and “My Little Brother” as well.

If you haven’t yet checked it out, I suggest you do. Or, catch them in their element tonight at Warehouse Live with We Are Scientists and The Spinto Band. Tickets are available at the door or at Ticketmaster and are $15 plus fees. Doors at 8pm, show at 9pm.
