Ever since our beloved Ian Varley moved away to Austin, the Music Roundtable has fallen by the wayside…quite unfortunate BUT…I think it is time for a reinvention of sorts with a twist…so…Yes, me, your most favorite redhead in the world, has decided to conduct a bit of an experiment with my good friend Pete Pallas at Cosmos Cafe, a very cool little bar in the Heights and quite centrally located (not to mention they have THE best Green Chili I have EVER tasted!!!!)

Anyway….I get calls ALL the time “Hey Logan, I need a bass player…Hey I need a graphic designer…hey do you know anyone who does cool shirts for cheap?? I need a website designer” and on on and on. You can imagine how often I get these questions…so here’s the solution folks.

As of this coming Tuesday, September 19th, I…me…moi’…will be bartending…yes, you heard it right…with Pete EVERY Tuesday and hosting an all new Open Mic Night that I am sure you will all welcome to the crappy, boring, unsupportive Houston Nightlife. Not only will this be a cool opportunity to hang and network with the local talent but also to throw down some songs and trade ideas with your peers. Even if you’re from out of town and just dropping through, we’d love to have you. There will be all sorts in attendance…not only musicians but photographers, graphic designers, managers, booking agents, publicists, radio people and more. Every week should bring an exciting and diverse yet different group out so…

I invite you all,…Country….Rock…Pop…indie….heavy…Doo-Wop…SINGER/SONGWRITER… Whatever the hell you want to play because this audience will embrace any and all artistic endeavor AND WE WILL HAVE A DAMN GOOD TIME DOING IT!

The reason other cities have such a strong music scene is because instead of alienating themselves from each other, they are supportive and coexist happily. So let’s get a move on….this is my little contribution to the scene that I know and love. I know you guys…and this will be the TIME and the PLACE to come out and mingle with the finest musos in H-town…and I’ll pour ya a real strong drink!
