High Fidelity‘s Syd Barrett tribute w/ King’s X’s Dug Pinnick

July 16th, 2006 · No Comments

Tonight, (Sunday 7.16.06) from 7-11pm, David Sadof’s High Fidelity radio show will pay tribute to the late Syd Barrett, former singer/songwriter for Pink Floyd.

Tune in tonight at 7pm on 97.5 FM or stream online at www.fmnewschannel975.com.

According to Sadof:

Dug Pinnick of King’s X will be guest co-host on my 4 hour radio show, High Fidelity, this Sunday night from 7 to 11. Dug and I will pay tribute to the late Syd Barrett and much of the psychedelic music he inspired either directly or indirectly. You can find playlists of past shows in my blog and you can listen to the show streaming at http://fmnewschannel975.com or if you are in the Beaumont/Houston area, you can listen on KFNC Supertalk 97.5 Fm. Yes, High Fidelity is a music show on a Talk Station! I believe this will the third time Dug has made a guest appearance on one on my shows, although it’s been about 10 years since the last one. It will be a very relaxed show of us hanging out on the radio and playing some great music. And yes, I will talk to Dug about some of his current and upcoming projects.

Be sure to tune in to catch David Sadof and Dug Pinnick discussing Syd’s influence and playing songs of those he influenced. I hope to hear Love & Rockets’ version of Floyd’s “Lucifer Sam”.
