This is great news. Local bassist extraordinaire Rozz Zamorano (of Fondue Monks) and Monks guitarist Steve Olson have started a “jazz/funk/fusiony/instrumental” group that plans to play on Sundays at Dan Electro’s in the Heights.

The guys go on around 6:30pm tonight (Sunday, 7.9.06), and will play for a couple of hours or so. They would like to invite other musicians to come out and sit in and hope to “create a nice low key vibe on a Sunday evening.”

Dan Electro’s Guitar Bar is located at 1031 E. 24th St. in the Heights.
