June 24th, 2006 · No Comments

Tonight (Saturday, 6.24.06), The Brewery Tap downtown hosts the Voltil and Los Gallos CD release party. This event is free and open to the public 21+.

About Volatil
2005 was the year for Volatil. After their interview for the Houston Chronicle, Volatil was invited to participate in festivals and events such as GoGirls Music Invasion of SXSW, Cabo Wabo Battle of the Bands, and Univision Radio’s Cinco de Mayo Celebration. In October, Volatil was chosen to entertain the audience during the Official Latin Grammy Viewing Party sponsored by the Texas Chapter of the Recording Academy.

About Los Gallos
Los Gallos hail from the industrial east-end of Houston, home to the cultural clashes of norteno, rap, conjunto, rock, cumbia, jazz, taquerias, and hierberias. The group has been together for two years and is active in the greater Houston music scene. They have just released their new EP, Barrio Boogie, and are currently planning small tours in Texas and Mexico. The CD is comprised of five original tunes that range somewhere between Elvis Costello, the Gin Blossoms, and Guns’N’Roses.

Now Playing: Bob Marley — Natural Mystic
