Last night’s show at The Proletariat with Sitka Sound and Broose was poorly attended but worth the effort in going. Both sets of musicians pulled off mellow, mostly acoustic sets that brought a new focus to their work. I was impressed.

Tonight (Thursday, 6.15.06), catch sometimes Camper Van Beethoven frontman with Cracker at The Meridian. Three Fantastic and The Elms round out the bill.

On Friday, Christopher Wilson’s CD release show is at Rudyard’s, with Skyblue72 and Playing With Stars. e sure to come out and show your support.

Saturday, you can catch Bob Schneider at Warehouse Live, with Houston’s own Fondue Monks.

The legendary Echo & The Bunnymen play at Warehouse Live on Sunday night (6.18.06). This is sure to be an amazing show. Even if you aren’t that familiar with thier more recent music, I suggest you check out this show. I saw them live in March during South By Southwest and can attest to the band’s relevance. After the show, Bunnymen guitarist Will Sergeant will play a DJ set at The Mink (a couple of doors down fromThe Continental Club). No cover for this, so make plans to check that ou as well.
