Thursday night is the second installment of JamHouston.com‘s Extemp-O-Rama at Super Happy Fun Land. This improv show features Plump, Blendt, Graham Reynolds, and Brandon A. Brown.

This Friday night (5.26.06), three of Houston’s finest indie rock bands — Ume, Sharks and Sailors, and Bring Back the Guns — play at Rudyard’s. The shows starts at 10pm, 21+ only. Cover is $8.

Also on Friday, Pushmonkey and Vallejo play at Forgettaboutit (Jones Rd. at Grant Rd. in NW Houston).

Saturday is the rain date for Westfest 2006. The show this year features great music by a ton of local musicians, including The Dimes, PennyRoyal, Arthur Yoria, J.W. Americana, The Generic Tribe, Medicine Show, Million Year Dance, Q.U.E., The Program, The Riff Tiffs, Skyblue72, The Mechanical Boy, Studemont Project, Morgue City, Eldridge, DubTex, Vicarious Me, The Wiggins, Los de Verdad, Vibe Committee, bojones, Eye Against, Seraphim, Clouseaux, Bowel, Sean Reefer and the Resin Valley Boys, Two Star Symphony, Guy Schwartz, Tody Castillo, Liviya Compean, Bullets on Broadway, A-S-H-S, Otenki, Jack in the Pulpit, & more.
